Frequently Asked Questions
Who am I?
Who am I? Well as a 16 year-old teen living in a world where I can simply press a button and have the world at my fingertips, I have a unique view of the ever-advancing world of technology around me. Having grown up in this world where everyone posts their lives for everyone to see, I am part of the first generation to have gone my whole life under tech's influence. The funny thing is that though my generation has grown up in this world, we do not have as large a voice as the generations before us who, though had a huge hand in building the tech we now have, did not grow up in this so-said technological society. My name is Siena Versaci and I am currently just an ordinary 10th grader speaking out about my experiences, views, and ideas about this ever-expanding world of tech and the ethical implications that have arisen within this large topic.
What is this blog's purpose?
Having grown up in this technological world I have seen and heard about a whole lot of questionable things that have not all been acknowledged, especially not by my generation. I have always loved to explore the ethics behind certain situations, actions, and ideas, so when I started to explore technology and heard stories and learned of laws that were creating major break-throughs and advancements within tech, I started to really evaluate technology around me. From accepting online cookies, to aspects of cyber-security, I have started to pose questions around technology and its ethical implications. Should there be laws regarding the usage and ethics of these new technological advancements? Within this blog I explore this idea and state my view as a teen who grew up during this amazing Technological Renaissance.
